Vacation Bible School 2026: Illumination Station
VBS at Good Shepherd
We were blessed to welcome 252 kids and 178 amazing volunteers who made it all possible. Every volunteer made a difference. From teaching Bible lessons and leading Good Shepherd Mission stations to welcoming families at registration, preparing snacks, helping with crafts, serving on the security team, guiding small groups, decorating, and handling countless behind-the-scenes responsibilities, each person played an important role in making VBS a meaningful and unforgettable week.
While the games, laughter, and activities made for an unforgettable experience, the greatest joy was sharing the truth about Jesus. Throughout the week, we had the opportunity to shine a light on who Jesus is and the incredible love He has for each one of us. Our volunteers truly served as the hands and feet of Jesus, reflecting His love through their kindness, encouragement, and faithful service.
Thank you to everyone who gave their time, energy, and hearts to make this week such a success. We are grateful for all God did through VBS and look forward to seeing how He continues to work in the lives of these children and their families.

Women's Bible Study
In Women’s Bible study, we are growing in the Lord as we read and study His Word, and we are enjoying meaningful friendships by being together. This study uses the English Standard Version and is an inductive Bible study with questions that direct us to observe, interpret, reflect, and apply what we have learned.
Mom-to-Mom
Moms with little ones meet once a month to hear a special speaker and discuss topics on marriage and parenting. Fellowship, encouragement, mentoring and fun is the focus of the time together. This is a free gathering and children’s classes are available for birth – Kindergarten.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Bible Study
The Bible itself will be our source of information as we learn what the text says, what it means, and how to live what we learn. God communicates to us, and our part in hearing Him is a willingness to set aside time to look at what the Scripture is saying, thereby drawing us into a closer relationship with Him.
Tygh Valley Men's Retreat
The Tygh Valley Retreat is a time in which fathers and sons can bond, brothers can grow closer together, friends can enjoy fellowship, and guys can experience real community with other men of faith.
Friday@Six
Friday@Six is a quarterly gathering of men (ages 15+) that features a delicious meal, a time of worship and a relevant message.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

All-Church Family Work Day
Last year's All-Church Family Work Day was a huge success, thanks to the 146 volunteers who generously gave their time and energy to serve at the Good Shepherd campus. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who lent a hand, and we look forward to serving alongside you again soon!
Other Facilities Highlights
- Resurfaced the West parking lot
- Replaced some A/C Units
- Replaced the basement carpet
- Painted the exterior of the building
- New Custodial Program Development - The custodians have all of the information on an in-house developed app (thank you Geoffrey Hastings!) and can use their mobile phones to mark daily tasks as in-progress or completed. It has saved us so much time! It's a live update on what has been completed for the day and what still needs to be done, including unlocking doors for groups or events throughout the day.
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
